Stuart Bogie has written, produced, and performed music for narrative and documentary films, commercials, toys, video games, and various stage productions from modern dance to Broadway. In the Broadway Musical Fela! directed by Bill T Jones (nominated for 13 Tonys), Bogie was the featured soloist, developing and performing several improvised solo through the show. Bogie and collaborator Luke O’Malley composed the original score for the feature length documentary How to Survive a Plague, directed by David France, which received several honors including an Oscar nomination.
Most recently he collaborated closely with Richard Reed Perry for his score to The Nest, which debuted at Sundance in 2020. Perry, Bogie, and pianist Parker Shper performed as a trio for the film’s premiere.
